History:
Modern ballet developed from classical ballet to allow more flexibility and variability of dancers. It started in the 1920s.

Characteristics:
The main feature of modern ballet is a more freestyle movement. It has strong roots in classical ballet, but performed to modern music. In contrast to classical ballet, its body lines are not strictly laid down.

  • from 9 years and upwards

  • Twice a week

Duration of class:

  • 90 minutes
